Beginning My Mental Health and Self Love Journey

As an adult it may be hard to remove that embedded stigma around mental health in your mind and begin unlearning ideas and narratives that have shaped your self love. Becoming a student of life is a great way to start this journey. Reading articles, doing research, watching videos, and trying different exercises will help you find what works best for you. Here you will find some resources to begin your journey accompanied by Tiffany Wright.

Tiffany Wright is a mental health professional, author, speaker, and self-love ambassador from Inglewood, CA. She obtained a BA in Sociology and BA in Psychology from the University of California Davis and her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City. Tiffany has facilitated healing, educational and professional workshops, seminars, training, and events for universities, high schools, social service agencies, and community members in the US and abroad around the topics of empowerment, wellness, trauma, and mental health. She is the founder of the empowerment platform, The BE Life, which promotes self-love and mental health awareness through events, training and media content. She is a co-founder of the social enterprise organization called Coco Coalition Inc. She is also a certified Associate Clinical Social Worker in California.

Ascribing to a completely integrative approach, I make efforts to support, develop, and create opportunities to approach healing and transformation in a holistic way. I believe that intuitively we are whole beings, yet it is the impact of personal experiences, social and political dynamics, and biological/physiological processes that create internal dispositions of fragmentation. When any aspect of our mind, body or spirit is imbalanced, neglected or undernourished, the stability of our well being is threatened. It is important to me to address circumstances that challenge one’s core identity and empower any individual to take advantage of tools available that may seem traditional, non-traditional, simple, and available. My primary focus is to expose individuals to tools of self-reflection and natural healing modalities.
