Participation in Court Hearings

Resource Parents have the right to speak and share information in court during review and permanency hearings. (WIC §§ 293(f), 16010.4 (e)(2), CRC § 5.534(k))

Resource Parents should file the JV-290 Caregiver Information Form with the court prior to review hearings to provide information directly to the judge. (WIC §§ 366.21(c), 16010.4 (e)(3), CRC § 5.534(k))

Resource Parents should receive a written summary of the social worker’s recommendations at least 10 days before the scheduled hearing. (WIC §§ 366.21(c), CRC § 5.534(k))
