California Alliance of Caregivers Inc. ("CAC") operates cacaregivers.org. This page explains what happens to information when you visit the site. By using the site, you agree to what is described here.
CAC does not ask for personal information in order to browse this site.
If you join, register for an event or training, or make a donation, you fill in a form provided by EveryAction, our membership and fundraising platform. The information you enter goes to EveryAction and is held in CAC's account there. Donations are processed by Stripe and PayPal, who handle your payment details directly; CAC does not receive or store your card or bank details.
We keep a simple count of which pages are visited, using our own measurement that sets no cookies. It records the page, the site you arrived from, a general device type, and a short-lived identifier that cannot be traced back to you. We do not store your IP address or your browser's identity. These records are deleted after 90 days.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do not measure your visit at all.
Our own measurement uses no cookies. Some services on the site do set them: Google Analytics and Google Ads, which help CAC understand how people find the site, and Stripe, which uses cookies on the donation page to prevent fraud. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Alongside those named above, the site is hosted by Cloudflare. Each of these companies handles information under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them.
We take reasonable measures to protect this site and the limited information it holds. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The site links to pages we do not operate, including Zoom for online events. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The forms on this site are provided by EveryAction; if we learn that a submission has come from a child under 13, we delete it immediately.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
